𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕍𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕟 𝕃𝕚𝕗𝕖 • 𝕍𝕠𝕝𝕦𝕞𝕖 𝟙 • 𝕀𝕤𝕤𝕦𝕖 𝟜 ▪️ As humans, we naturally strive for perfection. In theory, striving for perfection is perfect as an initiative. However, realistically speaking, we were born in an imperfect world. Hence, striving for perfection is billing in worthless time and effort. In the Software world, the striving of perfection is usually considered a boon for a Software Engineer. However, after 8 years of industry experience, I can assure you no Software is perfect. Every piece of software is hackable and can be broken down in some way or the other. So, developers, some of the most “realistic thinking humans, try to create software that achieve two things. One, excellence as opposed to perfection. And two, Progress. They can vouch tryst to perfection slows down progress which applies to every aspect of our lives. We spend so much time chasing perfection that our progress gets affected. In pursuit of perfection, we lose sight of the one very limited resource that we have, Time. Hence, I shared this quote, which stems out of the real world scenarios I am going through right now. So, are you chasing Progress or Perfection?
